He was invited as a speaker by the University of Iowa Lecture Committee. His talk was entitled: “Sal Khan: Reimagining Education and the Tools We Use”

It was about half lecture and half question and answer. The lecture was a background story of what inspired him and how he continued to make connections to develop the platform Khan Academy. The talk was framed as if it was for a Business School student population. A note of interest that I have thought about since is that he discussed why he thinks that AI tutors can be useful, is that people’s inhibitions are lowered when they ask something that is an AI vs. a human. This can be useful with mathematics where there is a barrier for students to feel comfortable asking questions.
